About WES
Waste to Energy Solutions Limited (WES) was formed specifically to incorporate the opportunities available to the founding team in the renewable energy solutions market and in order to offer a wide range of services and advice to the extensive range of clients who were working with the founders.
WES was created as a specialist consultancy and development group to operate in the renewable and sustainable energy markets world-wide.
WES founders, board and management between them represent many years of experience and knowledge within the renewable sector.
The Business
Although WES acts as a developer in its own right and as an advisor WES maintains an agnostic approach to technology and one if its core strengths is its team’s ability to identify the right solution both technically and financially for each project and for all its clients.
WES typically will take the projects through from “cradle to grave” by providing a full range of services through its wealth of partnerships and relationships with industry leading professionals including site analysis, planning and certification, strategic decision making, technology, securing of technical solutions, site management, construction and delivery, on-going operation and maintenance can also be provided as well as structuring finance, raising debt and or equity.
WES has also, following extensive investigation, research and negotiation secured exclusive exploitation and marketing rights to several exciting and innovative technologies in the renewable sector.
The Team
Paul Campbell
Jt Managing Director
Paul has many years’ experience within the renewable energy sector, identifying and developing projects, sourcing technologies and securing funding options. Paul has worked on projects in the UK, North America and Europe coordinating with EPC contracts to establish bankable projects. Paul is currently working with several EPC’s throughout the UK.
Phil Allan
Jt Managing Director
Phil has vast experience within the renewable energy industry, working with several large Chinese organisations. Phil was previously Head of Organics for Viridor, one the UK’s largest waste management companies. He has developed and ran Solar projects, Anaerobic Digestion plants and provided feedstocks for waste to energy plants.
Phil has also been concluding the establishment of UK exclusivity for key waste to energy technologies that will be used in WES projects. These may also be available to other non WES projects via WES agreements
Prith Rajendran
B.Eng., C.Eng., M.I. ChemE-Stopford Engineers
Prith is the Managing Director of Stopford Energy & Environment (www.stopford.co.uk) Stopford provides innovative multidisciplinary solutions to a global market from their offices in the North West of England. They have activities in Europe, USA, Middle East and Asia, making them one of the fastest growing environmental consultancies in the UK. Stopford would provide the services of an Owner’s Engineers for the projects and work with the relevant agencies to ensure EA sign off along with technology feedstock DD for the funding teams.
Sally Barrett-Williams
Barrister
Sally has worked the energy sector and in regulation, in the UK and overseas, since 1990 and held senior posts in industry and in industry regulators. 2001. She qualified as a barrister and spent time at the Administrative bar before going into private practice with a City law firm. She then joined National Power as Head of UK Commercial Law, before moving on to OFGEM as Assistant Director of Legal Services, from where she went to the Rail Regulator as Director of Legal Services and Chief Legal Advisor. She returned to private practice again, joining an international law firm, as partner in the Energy Practice. She was for a time a partner in the Carbon Catalysts Group, is director of a number of companies, each of them connected, directly or indirectly with the renewable energy market. She practices as a specialist energy barrister from Energy Law@ Lansdown Chambers.
Nick Dimmock
Director and 350 PPM Board Representative
Nick has been involved in the environmental sector since 2007 and has so far been involved with over 50 environmental projects from Municipal Solid Waste Composting in India, to 1500 MW Hydroelectric projects in Ecuador and the pre-construction development of over 260MW of solar sites in Mexico. Overall, the project’s Nick have been involved in have created ongoing emission reductions over 9 Million tons of CO2e per annum. Nick hold an Executive MBA from CASS University and an undergraduate degree in Business in Science. Nick founded 350 PPM Ltd, the environmental private equity house in 2015, with Tim Hyett (FCISI).
